And as far as hit rating goes...would any of these mages have 100+ hit rating w/o the HIT RATING gear they have on from ZA, BT/Hyjal, etc? I notice none of them have almost all hit gems as I do.

Yes, they would.  My alt Mage Oberonus I haven't played other than as a miner in ages is spell hit capped, and has never set foot in Kara, ZA (ok, I did arrange to run in and get the ZA 20 slot bag from the first quest.  But no fighting/loot), BT/Hyjal, etc.  It's trivially easy.  Soluming schools my Mage in every other aspect, but I think I could make up the difference in enchants alone if I cared enough about my Mage to play him.  But I find playing a Mage to be very similar to playing a Hunter, just a few different utility spells and a bit squishier, although the burst damage comes harder and faster.  Still, it's DPS 101 all over again.  So he's retired.

Thanks for all the amusing posts, though.  With 15 minutes spent reading prior applications you could have easily picked up on the fact that the back and forth with applicants is as much about seeing how the applicant might fit in to the Guild as it is about seeing if the applicant has a clue about the game mechanics as they apply to their class.  But with the chip on your shoulder blocking your vision I guess it's no surprise you missed this not so subtle clue left for any intelligent applicant.

Control the game?  Hardly.  Control who is a member of the Guild?  Of course.  Would you expect to walk in to a golf country club and demand membership?  But, golf is just a game that you pay for, right?
