What Theta has been up to
« on: June 14, 2012, 11:14:42 PM »
Hey All,

I know it's been way too long, but my talk is finally done! Sleep conference was this past weekend and I nailed my presentation.

Apparently, sleep and anxiety is a sexy topic for people. The media even picked up on my study (which I totally wasn't expecting)!

So if anyone would like to know about the research that I'm doing that's keeping me from raiding check out the below articles. The first is my personal study looking at the relationship between trait anxiety levels and sleep deprivation, and the 2nd is another study that I helped run looking at how the brains reactivity to food changes when sleep deprived.

Hope to be back raiding a bit next week, though not sure if I'll be able to commit the same amount of time I was able to before. Now that our data is out there for the public to see, its time for me to get my ass in gear to publish it before another lab does!

So it looks like you guys got the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center immediatley following the Display conference I was at last week.

Interesting stuff there.
i must drink beer. beer is the mind-killer beer is the little death that brings total obliteration i will face my beer i will permit it to pass over me and through me and when it has gone past i will turn my inner eye to see its path when the beer has gone there will be nothing. only i will remain.

Really need to put in to have these conventions in Vegas... its Vegas where no one sleeps.

Though I do think this is a good avenue of research and I think Theta needs to come back to raiding so I can sleep on the bench more. I miss sleep.

Your study gave me flashbacks of my junior and senior years of undergrad D:
